I used to think of mindfulness as fluff until I saw Shawntà speak. I could relate to her, her work, and her story, and really appreciated how she methodically figured out what tools helped her solve some difficult problems she had. When she shared her practice with us, I realized I could use it for a difficult conversation I needed to have. It worked! My mindset has changed and my working relationship with the person in question has never been better. She showed me how mindfulness is not only powerful, but practical. Thanks, Shawntà!
